Bryan Kennard, traverso (baroque flute)
Bryan Kennard is an improvising flutist and composer in Austin, TX. He serves as Adjunct Professor of Flute at Concordia University, leads an active private flute studio, and teaches music theory and improvisation to students of all ages. He regularly performs in and writes music for several local jazz and chamber ensembles. A Renaissance man of sorts, his recent interests in Baroque performance have added traverso to his musical bag of tricks.
Debuting with the Austin Baroque Orchestra in the spring of 2013, he performed with its members in Cleveland, OH at the American Society for 18th-Century Studies Conference that April.
